Letters to the Past (Excerpt)

There are things you wish you said when a family member dies. There are moments you wish you could replay forever. There are mistakes you want to take back. At the end of the day, nothing can be changed. That person is gone. All that's left is what they leave you. For Lana Graham, her grandmother left behind letters linking her to a family in Ho Chi Minh City.

Kali Gibson wrote this story for her Tutorial in Writing class. This novella is loosely based off of her family's immigration story from Vietnam to Lawton, OK.
